Champagne and More: A Tasting Event

I, for one, can never have enough bubbly in my life; even the hubs (who is a beer guy) joins me every time he hears the cork pop!!

Who are my sparkling wine people out there? Raise your hand, or your glass, if you are interested in learning more about Champagne and Champagne alternatives (i.e. California Sparkling wine, Cava, Prosecco, Moscato, etc).

Champagne, as you may already know, is sparkling wine from Champange, France while all other bubbly has to go by another name. A few examples:

  • France: Crémant

  • Spain: Cava

  • Italy: Moscato, Prosecco, Franciacorta

  • Germany: Sekt

  • England and USA: Sparkling Wine

Sparkling wines can come in all shapes and sizes including Red, White, Pink, Orange as well as many different sweetness levels. The bubbles can even vary depending on how the wine is produced, some will be larger while others are more fine and will last longer. The pressure inside the bottle can be as high as 6 atm or as little as 1-2 atm.

All of this will be covered in the March 18th class with an emphasis on the most common types of bubbles that people drink: fully sparkling whites and/ or rosés.

So mark your calendars for this exciting event but seats are limited (unless there is enough interest to hold a double event). Live, in person event located in Lodi, CA. Please contact me to reserve your seat. $40 per person.

Please reach out to reserve a spot. The class is already filling up. Cheers!!! I hope to see you there!
